Imerman Angels took some time this week to spread the word about 1-on-1 cancer support to two cancer centers in the metro-Detroit area: The Karmanos Cancer Institute and the University of Michigan Cancer Center. The Institute supports over 100 physician-scientists, 300 researchers, five research programs and 10 core facilities. This is a large center for research, including work in drug pathways, genetics and prevention.

The second stop was Ann Arbor. The University of Michigan Health System is known for many things, including their skin cancer program. Check out this short video about the work that they are doing in stem cell research. Go BLUE!
