JI will be attending the 3rd Annual Evidence Based Complementary and Alternative Cancer Therapies Conference (aka CAM for Cancer) to meet with RN, MDs, PhDs, CNAs, LPNs, Mental Health, Acupuncturiss, massage professionals and the patient/advocate community, January 7-9.
The purpose of the conference, hosted by the Annie Appleseed Project (http://www.annieappleseedproject.org/), is to educate attendees on the evidence behind CAM and ways to help patients and survivors during and after treatment. Topics to be covered are included in the 2010 Conference Agenda .
The project became a 501 non-profit corporation in the state of Florida in 2003. “From its inception, the Annie Appleseed Project decided to challenge the existing treatment paradigm, to question the existing research methods and subjects, and to propose new directions for both ending with true integrative oncology. The program name is designed to bring complementary, alternative therapies to the mainstream as soon as possible, while serves as a place where all ideas are scrutinized.”
