Ernie Holly cares about childhood cancer research. As the owner of Timeline Media Productions (www.timelinemp.com ) and a board member for Team Will Non Profit (www.team-will.org )- a community of bicyclists that raises funds and awareness for childhood cancer research through cycling activities- he is spreading the word about a documentary not to miss.
In the summer of 2008, 16 members of Team Will rode across America on bicycles in 10 days, starting in San Francisco and ending in Washington D.C. to help successfully lobby in front of congress for the passage of the “Carolyn Pryce Walker Conquer Childhood Cancer Act” which granted over $130 million dollars to childhood cancer research. Throughout the 10 days, the cyclists also made stops at pediatric oncology centers along the way to visit children and their families.
As a Team Will board member, he wholeheartedly believes in this cause and, as a result, has personally donated his time and resources from his production company to create the documentary that tells a story focusing on Team Will’s ride as well as the “Heroes” (Children with Cancer) they rode for. It is an hour long, geared towards the general public and carries a very clear message that “it’s not alright to sit back and let things happen when you can make a difference.” The hope is for the final product to be premiered across the country at various venues to help spread the message as well as to be entered in film festivals.
