Imerman Angels was on hand for the “University of Chicago Hospitals Myeloma Clinic Presents: Family Day Lunch & Learn” at the South Shore Cultural Center on Saturday, October 24th. 

This free event was open to all families who have an interest in good health and included education on Cancer in the African American Community: Myeloma and Other Health Related Concerns.  The goal was to reach underrepresented communities in the cancer world.  Lunch was served and there were activities for the entire family including a Hot Shot basketball game, a pumpkin patch, face painting and a big hit…art and crafts at the Imerman Angels table!  You can never go wrong with kids and glitter!!!  This wonderful event was presented in partnership with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
