A Cancer Survivor’s Weekend Retreat for adult men and women held twice a year in May and September in Fort Wayne, Indiana, where the entire weekend is aimed at teaching techniques of self-nurturing, stress relaxation, and coping techniques.
Epic Experience
Epic Experience seeks to engage individuals whose lives have been affected by cancer in the healing process by providing a retreat where participants can experience adventure, seek solace in the peaceful surroundings, and establish a supportive community amongst fellow survivors.
First Descents
Provides whitewater kayaking and other outdoor adventure experiences to promote emotional, psychological and physical healing for young adults with cancer. This year’s schedule includes retreats in Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado, Wisconsin, Montana, and the Pacific Northwest.
Life Beyond Cancer
A four-day retreat for women cancer survivors and oncology nurses held in Tucson, Arizona, that focuses on the many components of advocacy and wellness through and beyond the cancer experience.
Planet Cancer
A peer support community for Young Adults going through the tremendously isolating experience of cancer between the ages of 18 and 40. On Planet Cancer, young adult patients and survivors connect 24 hours a day, 7 days a week through a dynamic and irreverent social networking website and face-to-face retreats.
Wind River
A place where hearts and minds can meet in the foothills of North Carolina to enjoy the healing power of spending quiet time in nature, with the strength that comes from others on this journey.
