We are proud to announce the launch of our new Los Angeles chapter, less than one year after launching our Detroit chapter! Our newest chapter is under the direction of Regional Director, Jordyn Goodman. Goodman was born in Chicago and relocated with her family to Calabasas, California at the age of five. Jordyn attended the University of Arizona where she received a Bachelor Degree in Communications and landed a job working for Suzanne Somers shortly thereafter focusing on revolutionary alternative medicine. After losing her father to cancer in August 2013, she became more passionate about empowering and educating younger generations to embrace health and wellness, which led her to join our Imerman Angels team to launch the new Los Angeles branch. Welcome, Jordyn! We are so honored to welcome you to our team.
ATTENTION: We will be celebrating World Cancer Day on February 4, 2015. World Cancer Day is a worldwide celebration for finding proactive approaches to fighting against cancer. Our continual worldwide outreach has enabled one-on-one cancer support from coast to coast, and around the globe to more than 60 countries for cancer fighters, survivors and caregivers.
Celebrate World Cancer Day with us by liking our Facebook page and be sure to follow us on Twitter and Instagram @ImermanAngels. Plus share your cancer stories with us on our social media channels and help spread the word about this great organization.
Finally, we are proud to continue our Hispanic Outreach efforts with the hiring of Christina Benaiges, our first bilingual Cancer Support Specialist, in November 2014. With cancer as the leading cause of death among Hispanics in the US, there is a strong sense of urgency to make this service known to, and enable support for members of this community. We plan on launching a second website translated into Spanish in the near future to provide greater access to one-on-one cancer support. So stay tuned!
