Colorectal cancer awareness for colon cancer and rectal cancer

March is Colorectal Awareness Month?

It’s something you should know since ‪#‎colorectal‬ cancers an all-too-common diagnosis. In fact, according to the American Cancer Society, they are the third most-common cancer diagnosed in both men and women in the United States (excluding skin cancers).

And because this is a very common cancer for both sexes, we receive a regular intake of persons asking for support – as a colorectal cancer fighter or as a caregiver to someone battling the disease.

The positive news is that we are here to support them – perhaps even you – with our peer mentoring program.  To date, we have 404 Mentor Angels to help navigate the journey and provide a level of “I’ve been there” emotional support that is just so meaningful.

In addition to our cancer support services, we work with many cancer organizations that are making an impact in colorectal cancer advocacy.  The following are just a few that focus their attention on myriad initiatives including education, research, and awareness of colorectal cancers.

We encourage you to take a moment to get to know a few of them:

If you or someone you know is facing colon cancer or rectal cancer and may benefit from our 1-on-1 support peer services, please share this page or click on one of the links below.
