This year for Giving Tuesday, December 3rd, Imerman Angels is requesting volunteer Mentor Angels. Mentor Angels are cancer survivors or caregivers who are looking to provide comfort to someone else who has been impacted by cancer — someone just like them.
Alexis K., a Mentor Angel, says, “Being an Imerman Angels Mentor Angel has been one of the most important and rewarding things I have done in my life, and I’m a social worker. Through my experience as a Mentor Angel I have been able to learn much about myself and others, but most importantly it has been an experience that has helped with my own journey through my grief. Being able to share my experience and be a part of another individual’s experience is invaluable.”
To become a Mentor Angel, visit our website and sign up today. The process involves filling out a profile which includes your cancer history, lifestyle and more. All information remains confidential and will be used by our Cancer Support Specialists to match cancer fighters and caregivers to someone who has been in their shoes.
