Genes and Cancer: An Overview

Cancer is confusing enough, but now it is even more important to understand the influence that genes play on a cancer diagnosis. Our amazing panelists (Tuya Pal, MD, Dr. Deborah Cragun & Marleah Dean Kruzel ) will present an overview of the role of genetics in cancer, including but not limited to: what genetic testing is, cascade testing, how and when to ask for it, the difference between inherited genes and the biomarkers of tumors, Targeted Therapy and the perspective of a patient who studies communication in families with hereditary cancer.
