Caregiver Support
Through our unique matching process, Imerman Angels partners individuals seeking cancer support with a Mentor Angel – a fighter, survivor, previvor or caregiver – who has been in their shoes.
What is a Mentor Angel?
A Mentor Angel is a person who has been affected by cancer, and provides emotional and psychosocial support to a cancer fighter or previvor with a similar background and experience to theirs.
What is a Caregiver?
A Caregiver is a family member or friend who provides care to a cancer fighter, survivor or previvor. The number of Caregivers caring for loved ones with serious and/or chronic illnesses continues to grow due to rising health costs, shorter hospital stays and preferences for outpatient care models.
Caregiver Mentor Angels
Support from a unique mindset
Caregiver Mentor Angels are paired with Caregiver Support Seekers who are currently supporting someone with a similar cancer diagnosis and life experience.
Support for difficult life events
Step 2: Each applicant works with an Imerman Angels’ Cancer Support Specialist to get screened and trained.
Resource for Social Workers
Step 3: Mentor Angels remain in the matching database and will be contacted when a compatible cancer fighter, previvor or caregiver seeking support registers for support.

How does the Caregiver Mentor Angel matching process work?
Real people find your match. We will ask you questions about your life, background and loved one’s cancer experience and personally connect you with a Caregiver Mentor Angel whose story mirrors yours.
Do I need to live with the patient/caregivee in order to register as a Caregiver Mentor Angel?
